Anticlimactic

Doctor Who Series 5...

Doctor Who Series 6.1...

Doctor Who Series 6.2...

I didn't think it was possible, but it happened. Steven Moffat let me down on my birthday. He led me on and handed me an anticlimactic season ending.

I'm hopeful that he will bring his A-game next time round, but still... Steve gave me sadness for my birthday. And that kind of sucks.

I can understand where you're coming from. Like I told you on twitter, this whole series 6.2 had been a bit underwhelming for me. But I must admit, I finally watched the series ender yesterday, and I loved it. To me, the question being as simple (or as deep, depending on your frame of reference) as "Doctor WHO?" was completely unexpected and, addmitedly, intriguing. But that is coming from someone who's first doctor was Christopher Eccleston. I am still making my way through the older doctors episodes. So perhaps its not as intriguing to those who've been along the entire journey.

I can understand. The whole episode to me was a bit of a let down. From (((BIG FAT SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T WATCHED IT YET)))the weird wedding to the idea that the Doctor's "death" was a fixed point and messed with history. But Steven Moffat has been building up everything this season that the season ender just kind of petered out for me. Everything in the episode itself just seemed like a bit of a cop out. I have other issues, but I'll wait for series seven just in case I'm wrong. :)

And you and I are in the same boat. I'm still making my way through the older Who episodes as well. It's just been tough trying to keep up with everything going on.
